Artist portrait – SOLO OSLO Constance Tenvik
Discover one of Norway’s leading emerging artists, celebrated for her distinct style, humour, use of colour, and theatrical gestures. Constance Tenvik is this year’s SOLO OSLO artist at MUNCH!
Tenvik creates captivating “worlds within worlds,” and her latest work is no exception. Titled "Tio-tio-tinx," the exhibition is inspired by Aristophanes’ comedy, The Birds (414 BCE), reimagined through a contemporary lens. The installation features new sculptures, digital jacquard weavings, and a film shot at Edvard Munch’s former atelier at Ekely.
The SOLO OSLO series is part of MUNCH's commitment to contemporary art, and to developing a new generation of artists. It is supported by Talent Norge and Canica.
This fourth edition of SOLO OSLO is on display from 28.09.2024-26.01.2025.
