Difference between JDK,JRE and JVM

JDK consist of both compiler and JVM(Java virtual machine). So, by using JDK we can develop, compile and execute new java applications and also we can modify , compile and execute already developed applications. But JRE only consist of JVM. Hence using JRE we can only execute already developed applications.
