Antique Sewing Machine Sewn Back To Life
They say old is gold. This video shows how an antique Singer sewing machine is brought back to life and sold 'as good as new' and in working condition. This discovery is in Raub, the town that was once the leading goldmine town of Malaysia. The craftsman Raj is helping his father to refurbish old and new sewing machines that are still used by many people at home and in tailoring and sewing shops. This unique find rekindles memories of the bygone days when every mum has such a machine at home to solve sewing problems especially with school uniforms! Indeed, we hope that Raj will carry on and pass on his trade and craftsmanship to keep this historical machine alive in this new age of technology and ready-made clothes.
