Grand Cathay are a brand new faction for the Old World, with an almost entirely new army designed specifically for Total War: Warhammer and now the miniature battle game. But there has been a Cathay in the Warhammer world as long as there has been a Warhammer world!

First introduced in the first edition of Warhammer, Cathay and the Imperial Cathans have a long and storied history in Warhammer's development, even if things have changed a great many times. There have even been a few Cathayan monster miniatures over the years.

In this episode of Building Warhammer Armies Jordan Sorcery explores the origins and evolutions of Grand Cathay. From hidden lore to evolving details, this ancient empire is as old as the setting itself.
