Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell with traditional chime
How to setup Hikvision doorbell with traditional chime. Manual is unclear to what chimes are supported. How does this work putting the chime on the return of a 24volt feed? The trick is that the Hikvision contains large resistor lowering the voltage to approx 0.4 volt. This is not enough to ring a tradional ding-dong chime. Pressing the button increases the voltage for a short time ringing the chime (i measured 5 volt for 1 sec). So use a normal ding-dong chime of 8-16v and you are fine. I use a Honeywell DS117. It appears to work just fine with or without using using the resistor included by Hikvision. You are required to use this resistor without a mechanical chime.
