In this video, I will show you how to install and configure DHCP Server(Services) in Windows 2016 Server..
Every DHCP Client(device) in the network needs IP address. DHCP works based on DORA process.
1.Discover (Broadcast message) - Client
2.Offer (unicast message) - Server to Client
3.Request (Broadcast message) - Client
4.Acknoledge (Unicast message) - Server to Client
When any device(DHCP Client) in the network powered on, it will search for the DHCP server to get/lease the IP address details.
Any DHCP Server in the network will offer(DHCP Offer) IP parameters to the client.
Then DHCP Client will request(DHCP Request) those IP parameters from the server.
Finally, Server will confirm(DHCP Acknowledge) those parameters to the DHCP client for a lease period.
