Cloud Hosted Router (CHR) is a version of Router OS that is designed to run on a Virtual Machine. CHR uses a 64-bit x86 architecture and can be used on most hypervisors such as VMWare, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, etc. CHR has the same features as RouterOS, but has a slight difference in license level.
Free license will automatically appear when you install CHR. If using a Free license is not enough to meet the needs of the network, you can use a P1, P10 or even P-Unlimited license.
The advantage of using CHR, one of which is that it has no feature limitations such as when using RouterOS and is free. But there is a speed limit depending on the license used.
Citraweb has now officially sold the CHR license. Licenses sold for CHR are prepaid-key systems. Of course the way to purchase and generate licenses is a little different.
