DIY. How to make a Christmas tree stand
How to make a simple Christmas tree cross.
Material: 20mm thick pine board. The size of the piece is 300 x 80 (based on a tree height of approximately 2 meters).
The mating edge is cut at an angle of 5 (85) degrees to create a tapered opening in the assembled cross.
The cross is assembled with 12 75mm drywall screws. The tree trunk is inserted into the cross opening and secured with four wedges at the corners of the opening.
The tree can also be secured with four screws through the walls of the cross.
