Hey friends, in today's short video, I'll show you exactly how to hide your game activity on Discord so your friends can't see what you're playing. Whether you want to game in private, avoid distractions, or just keep your business to yourself, this quick tutorial has you covered.
We'll cover three different methods:
Method 1: Disable Game Activity Globally
Open Discord Settings (gear icon next to your username)
Go to Activity Privacy (or Activity Status in older versions)
Toggle OFF "Display current activity as a status message"
This hides ALL game activity across Discord
Method 2: Hide Specific Games Only
In Settings, go to Registered Games
You'll see a list of games Discord has detected
Click the "X" next to any game you want to remove
Or toggle the icon to show/hide individual games
Method 3: Use Invisible Mode
Click your profile picture at the bottom left
Select "Invisible" from the status options
You'll appear offline while still being able to use Discord
Note: This hides ALL activity including messages, but you can still chat
Bonus Tips:
You can also turn OFF "Share your detected activities with others" in Privacy & Safety settings
On mobile, go to Settings -) Activity Status and disable "Display current activity"
Remember that game activity only shows when you're actually IN the game
Still seeing game activity after following these steps? Try restarting Discord or checking if any third-party Discord apps are overriding settings.
