How to make 90s Boombap like J Dilla, 9th Wonder, Q-Tip in Ableton
Today we are sampling in Ableton again to make an old-school dusty 90s Boombap style beat like the greats J Dilla, Q-Tip, Madlib, MFDoom, 9th Wonder and the list goes on.
We pick out a record, sample the record into Ableton Live, chop up the sample and play with it to eventually turn it into a hard gritty beat.
