Windows 2000 Startup and Shutdown Screen Evolution
Windows 2000(also known as Windows 5.0 during development) this was renamed Windows 2000 on 27 October 1998, or others one called Windows 99/2000
This is the last version of Windows NT to use the Windows Classic Theme and classic start menu as default.
Build 1946 was a first build that introduced Windows 2000 branding,update new boot screen,hibernation,safe to shutdown screen that has a pretty background,but Windows NT 5.0 Workstation still referenced in others,introduced new startup and shutdown,this startup sound wasn’t Windows NT 5.0 shutdown sound.
Build 1964 still used lanmannt.bmp and landma256.bmp wallpaper said”Windows NT 5.0 Server Beta 2” due to the lack of proper branding,Windows NT 5.0 Server referenced in others.
Build 1983 introduced new boot,hibernation and shutdown screen.Update startup and shutdown sound that are nearly resemblant of RTM build,used up to build 2000.3,not Windows ME beta startup and shutdown sound
Build 2020 updated startup and shutdown sound to the ones heard in RTM build
Build 2068 introduced new server boot screen but labeled”Servers” instead of”Server Family” then build 2124 update to “Server Family” boot screen that used in RTM build.Change the hibernating screen text to”Hibernating…” instead “Saving Current State…”
