I think a few of our club members have seen one of the prototypes I was working on. It is finally completed and I would like to give you some heads-up about it.

It is called "ezFPV2GO". As you may already know, FPV stands for First-Person-View. This is a portable video transmitter+camera+battery+clover-leaf antenna bundled inside an industrial-grade clear heatshrink tube. The total weight is only 2.0 oz.

This apparatus sends both video and audio signals in the unlicensed 5.8 GHz spectrum to your FPV goggles on the ground while you are piloting your airplane (gas or electric) just like sitting in a manned aircraft's cockpit. The camera comes with an OSD (on-screen display) feature which indicates your flight time and the voltage level of the ezFPV2GO's built-in battery. There are no cables going in and out. So, it is all compact, wireless and hassle-free. I did all firmware updates, configurations and fine-tunes, so you don't need to do anything but just plugging and flying. The video has more range than your radio transmitter's control range.

On the ground, your goggles have the capability to record remotely the video footage, so you can watch, archive, and share your scenic flight with your friends. A spare goggle maybe used to invite a co-pilot friend flying with you. Don't forget to have a spotter or a visual observer to watch the entire flight as it is both FAA and AMA requirement!

Besides the goggles, you can also purchase a small video receiver and connect it to a compact LCD monitor, TV, or your laptop. So, your ground crew can enjoy the extreme aerobatics views while you are flying your airplane line-of-sight.

The biggest fun thing about that you can simply move the ezFPV2GO from one airplane to another. So, it doesn't stuck with one only. All it takes is using a simple Velcro with double-sided adhesive. You can also attach the apparatus to any of your RC cars, trucks, boats, or even on a kite!

If you have two sets running on different frequencies (the channels are changeable), you can chase the other airplane and even combat together! The ezFPV2GO is crash-friendly and constructed very durable.

I am going to release an instructional test video on my PerfoDemo YouTube channel soon, so you can have a better first-hand idea of this project.

Let me know if you would like to pre-order yours and add a new perspective to your model aviation hobby!

I will take and answer all your questions below.

Happy Flying!
