The LP-18ST chokerless skidder is based on the TLP-4M forestry skidder (an improved version of the TT-4M tractor). The TLP-4M base tractor features a forward-mounted cab for excellent visibility. The modern modular cab features an integrated safety cage, high-strength glass, protected grilles, is sealed, heat-, noise-, and vibration-insulated, and is equipped with a rotating seat and an additional rear control station. The cab features an efficient heating and ventilation system, providing a comfortable and safe working environment for the operator. Lights provide enhanced illumination of the work area.
The attachment, consisting of a column, boom, grapple, bunk, robust front pusher, shield, hydraulic system, and protective covers, is mounted on the TLP-4M tractor chassis. The working elements are controlled by a volumetric hydraulic drive, allowing for smooth and precise operation of the process equipment. The use of a hydraulic manipulator eliminates the need for manual labor.
The LP-18ST tractor is designed for collecting fallen trees (logs), forming bundles, and skidding them to the loading point, as well as for leveling log butts and forming stacks. The tractor uses a articulated lever-type bunker with a cable-type tree tie-down. The bunker is designed to clamp bundles of up to 8 cubic meters when skidding with the butts first, and up to 12 cubic meters when skidding with the tops first.
The LP-18ST chokerless skidding tractor offers high performance and reliability and is widely used in harsh logging conditions.
At the customer’s request, it is possible to equip the TLP-4M basic tractor with a HYDROMECHANICAL TRANSMISSION (tractor control using a joystick).
