Maschine MK3 Chopping Chopin [Adventures in sampling #7]
In this video I'm using my Maschine MK3 to chop up a sample from classical composer Chopin and making a dark beat out of it. Check it out!
First I'm recording the sample into the maschine, and then sequencing it. It sounds a bit choppy when I played it in the video, but I spent some time smoothing out the transitions between the chops (short fade ins and out on each chop).
Then I'm adding all the other ingredients drums, bass (rickenbacker bass this time - comes bundled with maschine mk3), some ambient effect and an extra foley sound.
