Kenwood DMX1057 boot loop issue. The receiver was a refurbished model received from Crutchfield. Clearly Kenwood is not throughly checking returned units and just cycling them back to resellers. Crutchfield seems to be willing to make things right but Kenwood needs to actually find the cause and release a hot fix, or other extended warranties. I am a little worried as this is 1600 dollar unit when not on sale, That it would be facing these types of issues car stereos are really not that advanced devices and this one is priced high due to an external touch screen monitor and some special eq built in. Not overly impressed as head units 10 15 years ago had just about the same tech as today, just slightly better UI now.
If you are experiencing this issue it is not caused by incorrect installation. This is a documented issue read reviews on Crutchfield and other sites it’s a manufacturer issue. I hope this can save someone hours of troubleshooting.
