Welcome to Geometry Dash! This is a big one guys! Bloodlust may be one of my most highly requested levels of all time, and it is a huge part of the game's history. I beat Bloodbath back in 2016 so you have no idea how much it means to me to finally add this one to my list of completions. It feels good to know that even at the old age of 23 (that is old in GD terms) I am not on the decline just yet, and I still have a few more impossible levels to complete before I ride off into the sunset!
So, as for the level itself... it's pretty good. I raged at this level harder than I have raged at anything in a long time. I think there were a couple of reasons for that; the difficulty of the level, and the high expectations I set for myself. I expected to steamroll through this level, so I was disappointed that it took me 8 days, instead of the 3 or 4 that I was expecting. I was certainly humbled by this experience, but with Kenos, The Golden and secret level coming up, I have certainly set my sights very far ahead in the future, which I would never recommend to anyone. Do not do what I did in this situation, it is very stressful right now. The Bloodbath part is actually pretty great. The only parts I have a problem with are Evasium and Nikroplays. These parts are both horrible, particularly Nikro's part. It sucks, I am sure we can all agree on that. Etzer. Havok, and Wabbit (gBoy) are really awesome parts to play though, and I actually would go as far to say I had fun playing them. The first 20% is pretty great, and super consistent, keeping it enjoyable for the duration. Michigun's part is also hugely improved from Bloodbath too. So I guess now we have to talk about the extension. I don't like it. Not only does it feel rushed, but the gameplay is pretty terrible most of the time, aside from the corridor section at 80% which I liked. That's the only part I really liked. TMN is also okay, but there are some bad clicks, and it is the last part in the level so that doesn't help. For the first time ever as well, I actually felt physical exhaustion in my forearm when I got to around 60%. Both of my deaths on TMN were from a combination of nerves, but more importantly, my hand was so tired that I couldn't actually click accurately.
Overall, this level is really intense, and executed very well in that sense. I love the rush that I got from getting good runs on this level, and I would recommend it if you really want to challenge yourself. Be prepared for many deaths at the end though, because that is pretty likely with the way it is laid out.
Enjoy!
