As a kid my parents were very education forward, however they had their limitations. When my brother and I asked to make a potato launcher with ABS or PVC piping they said no. Well now that I have this channel I thought it the perfect excuse to finally make one!
In our next video we go out to the desert to test the FULL POWER of Darth Potato!
The engineering on this project is pretty rich. Nothing in this process is quite difficult it’s just you might need some power tools to make the build easier. The one thing I would suggest is to always wait 24 hours for your glue to dry before testing out the potato launcher. You DO NOT want the launcher to come apart because of the combustion.
The last thing that I think gets missed a lot in online builds is discussing the ignition source. The igniter is basically a grill igniter. The tricky part is getting the wires in an arrangement that looks like a spark plug for a car. We used hot glue to attach the free wires (positive and negative) to the actual body of the igniter, this made it close enough to make a spark
