In this video, I am going to talk about what you will need in order to have an EverWeb made website that can best showcase your photos or images online.
To build your website you will need:
A website name, also known as a domain name
A hosting service for your website
A way of transferring your photos to your computer
A Computer that is suitable for your needs
And EverWeb software
Lets look at each of these in turn…
Domain Name - A domain name is needed in order for people to be able to find your website.
It is a unique name that identifies a website for example microsoft.com, apple.com and everwebapp.com.
Your domain name is usually referred to as your website name.
You can use whatever domain name you want, as long as it is not already registered by someone else.
You can purchase your domain through us here at EverWeb or from your own provider.
Website Hosting - You will also need to host your website in The Cloud.
Web hosting gives you the storage space you will need for your website’s files, including any photos you that add to your EverWeb made website.
Hosting also allows you to display the website when you visit your domain.
You can also purchase web hosting through us here at EverWeb, or use your own provider. The choice is yours, but there are some additional benefits to hosting with EverWeb.

Computer Requirements - To use EverWeb, you will need either Windows 10 or higher, or macOS 10.13, also known as High Sierra, or higher.
We recommend, where possible, that you use the latest version of EverWeb and the latest version of your computer’s Operating System.
Also make sure that your computer’s processor, memory and disk space are sufficient, both now and in the future, if you are going to be storing and/or editing photos on your computer, and that you can easily transfer your photos from your camera to your computer, either by SD card or bluetooth.
EverWeb Software and Hosting - EverWeb lets you build, publish and maintain the pages of your website.
As already mentioned, EverWeb is available for macOS and Microsoft Windows.
You can also purchase EverWeb with, or without hosting.
If you already own a domain name, and have your own web hosting, you can purchase EverWeb Standalone. Otherwise, we recommend you purchase EverWeb+Hosting.
For most people, EverWeb+Hosting Lite will be sufficient.
If you have not already purchased EverWeb, you can still download, install, and use EverWeb, to follow this video course. However, you will not be able to publish your website online until you purchase EverWeb.
Any work that you may have done in the meantime, will be saved and can be used after you purchase EverWeb.
