In this video, we explore how a call stack works. We derive the concept of a stack frame and show how they work in general. Then we talk about the details of what goes into a call stack. Finally, we use VSCode and GDB to look at exactly how the call stack looks with the Cygwin64 gcc compiler on Windows.
