[OUTDATED] Last Lifeline - Official Intro (E1)
Lifeline started off as an object camp run by Discord user Calculovo. It was conceptualized all the way back in mid-2021, and it's first (and presently, only) season ran from December of 2021 to March of 2023. I was a contestant on that camp, and I placed 8th, having survived all the way to the 17th episode.
Lifeline was based on the 100-life camp format, which is something that is rarely ever used when describing contestant economics in proper object shows. It was inspired pretty heavily by DanganRonpa and Squid Game due to it's debt-game shenanigans.
And with consent from Calculovo herself, as well as some of the past contestants helping work for the project, I will be spearheading an object show adaptation of the camp. This separate idea started as a comic back in June of 2022, which eventually transitioned into a full-on animation project, whether it be a good decision or not. Thus far, progress on it has been rocky, but lately I predict it may be transitioning into much smoother sailing in terms of management.
This intro, being heavily based on Calculovo's original, simpler intro style, took 2 months to make. Storyboarding began in late August and finished in 7 days, right before the new school year began (as someone in school from September to June). Base animation took a whopping ~45 days to create despite only being a minute long, and the additional effects took just over a week as well.
This is one of the most intense animation projects I am ever made, and personally, I am happy with the result. Let's see where the waves take us from here, shall we? Uhuhuhu!
