Stubble cultivation is the cultivation of soil using specialized tools—stubble cultivators—to a shallow depth (4-5 cm).
Stubble cultivation is performed before autumn tillage of the field after harvesting to stimulate weed germination before the main tillage, destroy insect pests at various stages of their development in the soil, and reduce moisture evaporation.
