I decided to build this locking system to speed up the tightening of the ER32 collet holder chuck of my SIEG milling machine: currently you have to use a hook spanner and a 16 (mm) fixed spanner.
The block works thanks to a spring that pushes on the faces of a shaped block, the spring has the function of keeping the block in the open/closed position and in the assembly position (for inserting the screws)
In fact, the fixing screws are hidden inside the block behind the suitably drilled bushings, the rotation shaft is also drilled to allow the assembly screws to pass through.
The screws are hidden inside for reasons of space: the block resists torsion thanks to n°2 M4 screws plus another n°2 M4 screws which are used to fix a plate and which therefore help to resist at rotation. (in fact, the block is resting to the black plate)
