Make your trim wheel more responsive in X-Plane 12.

Open Plane Maker (Planemaker.exe in your X-Plane 12 folder).
Open the desired aircraft .acf file.
Go to the Standard tab, then select Control Geometry.
Navigate to the Trim and Speed tab.
Adjust the Trim Deflection Time (in seconds) for the elevator to a lower value to make it faster.
