Uncover Google Cloud Run's Secret Power | Run Nodejs API in Cloud Run Service
In this tutorial, we will setup Google Cloud Run Service in Google Cloud Platform. We will be deploying & running Nodejs APIs in Cloud Run Serverless service. Step by step guide to setup cloud run service and run nodejs API application in serverless service.
** Google Cloud Run Serverless Service **
Cloud Run is a fully managed serverless platform that enables you to run stateless containers that are invocable via HTTP requests. Cloud Run is serverless service & it abstracts all infrastructure management, so we can focus on application logic.
In Cloud Run, your application must be run in containers that contain everything that your software needs to run including code, runtime, and system libraries. It automatically scales up or down from zero to N depending on traffic. It is a regional service and is automatically replicated across multiple zones.
Cloud Run is a managed compute platform that lets you run containers directly on top of Google's scalable infrastructure.
We can deploy container image from the following sources.
• Container images stored in the same project.
• Images are found on other Google Cloud Projects provided IAM permissions set.
• Public container images from Container Registry, Artifact Registry & Docker Hub repository.
** Google Cloud Platform **
Google Cloud Platform is a set of cloud computing services provided by Google that allows you to store, manage, and analyze data. Google Cloud Platform also used for developing, deploying, and scaling applications on Google’s environment. Google Cloud Platform provides tools for developers to build and deploy applications in a secure and reliable manner.
Google Cloud Platform is a public cloud computing platform consisting of a variety of services like compute, storage, networking, application development, Big Data, and more, which run on the same cloud infrastructure that Google uses internally for its end-user products, such as Google Search, Photos, Gmail and YouTube, etc.
