MS Access - Modify Field Properties of Already Linked Tables
You cannot change the properties of data that is linked WHILE it is linked.
You need to remove lookup wizards and unlink the tables in the relationships window BEFORE you make changes to the field properties. You will need to make sure that the properties of each matching field are exactly the same. You can THEN recreate lookup wizards which will create relationships between the tables.
