Studienkolleg or 1 Year Bachelors?
Studienkolleg is a prep college in Germany designed to prepare incoming international students who want to study in Germany but whose qualifications don’t meet the German education system criteria.
Even though many students think about the Studienkolleg course as a waste of time, it’s estimated that those international students who undergo such a course before their regular studies are more successful than those who don’t.
Since you need to complete 13 years of education before you can pursue a bachelor’s program, and there are only 12 years of school education in countries like India, you will need to go through a Studienkolleg.
However, if you complete a Bachelor’s course in India itself, then you can avoid the requirement of attending a Studienkolleg to qualify for a bachelor’s degree course directly.
