How To Configure A Transparent Proxy Using PFSense
The purpose of this video is provide a step by step on how to configure and install a transparent proxy using pFSense and the Squid package. This video includes a network diagram that show the layout of the environment, pretest of a client before the proxy installation, how to configure a basic CA to support the proxy server, how to install the squid package, how to configure squids storage, how to configure squid, post test of a client after the base configuration of the proxy, what firewall rules to tighten up, how to add block rules and display what error messages look when a site is blocked.
Note: I did not include the configuration of the Anti-Virus HVAP due to the stability issues identified on pFSense Website.
