Sealing the Sole Plate with Huber ZIP System Liquid Flash
Today I used Huber ZIP System Liquid Flash (@ZipSystemSheathing) to seal the edge of the sole plate in the addition. I kind-of dreaded this job because to do it right I needed to vacuum the entire joint then scrub and rinse it to get it perfectly clean. After that I dried the joint by moving a fan from area to area the rest of the day and overnight. With the joint clean and dry, I applied the Huber ZIP System Liquid Flash in about a 1/4" bead all the way around the room, and followed up by smoothing and pressing it into the joint with a tongue depressor.
