Cartography error or Bermuda Triangle
I do not know what cartographers are guided by, but each card has its own mistakes and errors in the names. These errors give rise to a parallel reality. And wrong or rather erroneous names have greater immunity, resistance to changes. In the aftermath, we have distorted data and lost legacy, which are most likely not recoverable.
