Sex, drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll. Whereas a generation of namby-pamby Rock bands is conquering the world stages, hitting the sack at 9 pm on time, DEAD LUCKY from Cape Town show with their short video report that they are addicted to Rock ‘n’ Roll including all of its clichés and are giving living prove that real heavy rockers still exist. On 13th March, 2015 “Sons Of Lazarus” will be released with rough vocals and heavy riffs through Dr. Music Records. The album illustrates with powerful dynamite very clearly that South Africa offers a nutritious soil for unmistakable, convincing rough Rock with its own identity.
With this studio report DEAD LUCKY give a little insight about their thoughts during the production of the album and maximize our anticipation regarding their single “Live Fast, Die Last”. While still humorously laughing about “Our Prayer” not telling of beating women it becomes quickly clear, what it is really about: «I pledge to you oh Rock and Roll, the flag, I’ll fly, I’m flying high until the day I die.» The guys sold their soul to the city of sin Cape Town where you get «high stakes, fast cars, bright lights, loose girls» when it comes to their 7th track of their album “Sin City”. DEAD LUCKY behave just after the slogan «pay the toll, hand over your soul» in front of the camera. Their attitude and the origins of their creativity are emphasized especially with the live scenes of the video. The five from Cape Town are sly old dogs and have made true Rock ‘n’ Roll their life’s philosophy.
The second part follows tomorrow at 4 pm here on the band’s YouTube channel. Until then enjoy DEAD LUCKY’s music video “Prowler“ ( • DEAD LUCKY: Prowler (Official Music Video) ) and let your energy together with the authentic, mangy Street Rock attitude of the South Africans free!
