What does self-doubt feel like? Your writing is terrible, you’ll never be any good, you shouldn’t bother because it’ll never go anywhere, no one will ever buy the book.
The truth is that everyone feels like this, even mega-famous, bestselling, authors. Example from Thrillerfest
I cancelled launch drinks when I published my first novel (originally Pentecost, later relaunched as Stone of Fire) because I was afraid of what people would think of me.
