Gaming Distros -    • I tried a new Linux gaming OS no one’s tal...

In this episode of my Linux gaming distro series, I’m trying Nobara Linux, created by GloriousEggroll, the developer behind Proton-GE, the custom Proton build that helps thousands of Windows games run smoothly on Linux.

I wanted to see what it’s like to use a gaming-focused distro made by the same person who created Proton-GE. From installation and setup to updates, drivers, codecs, and Steam, this video walks through the full experience of getting Nobara running and seeing how it fits into my everyday gaming and content creation workflow.

If you’re curious about Linux gaming or thinking about switching from Windows, Nobara might make the process easier.

Watch the full Linux Gaming Distro playlist to see how each one compares as I try them all.
