Ganjacat - Through The Ceiling (feat. Jesse Chong) - live performance debut
Formed during the pandemic of 2020, Ganjacat is the brainchild of Grammy-nominated engineer, Tim Roberts, and singer/songwriter, Jesse Chong. Like many independent artists, their music was home-grown in a garage studio with one microphone and an old computer. What was intended as a musical escape quickly escalated into a wave of creative output.
In 2022 Ganjacat released the music they'd been working on as a series of singles without any expectations, but thanks to the algorithms of streaming services, their tunes got grouped with a new wave of American reggae artists and into the ears of an eager audience.
Ganjacat's music is a fusion of influences that coalesce into what they call "alternative reggae", with each new release pushing the boundaries of their songwriting and production style.
This was their live performance debut in Virginia Beach, VA on May 4th, 2024.
