31 Year old maestro playing probably his 2nd last open tournament before the 1981 AE Semis where he lost in 3 sets to Prakash Padukone including a 15 to 1 third set which dented his self belief.
His long graceful strokes and old school badminton was enough to beat many young upstarts.Here we had no need of match fixing and cheating like the final of the 1976 AE Final.
