To begin, remove both inner and outer seal faces from the pump body, including the outer face o-ring and the inner face wave spring. Remove each o-ring from the rotor case bores.
Remove the seal seats and shaft o-rings from each shaft.
You are now ready to install new double mechanical seals. Lightly lubricate the shaft O-rings with a compatible lubricant and fit them onto the groove over the shaft. There are two grooves on each shaft, be sure that the o-rings are installed in the groove furthest from the splined end of the shaft.
Next, slide the seal seat over the shaft to position it against the shaft shoulder, with the flat side of the seal face facing outward. Be sure to align the slot on the rear of the face with the shaft drive pin.
Lightly lubricate the O-rings of the inner seals using a compatible lubricant and fit them into the rotor case grooves.
Fit the wave spring onto the inner seal and press it into the bore of the pump body to align the notches with the drive pins. The seals will not fully sit in the pump body due to the wave spring.
Lightly lubricate the outer face o-rings and fit them in the groove on the seal faces. Fit the seal faces into the pump body and align the notches with the drive pins.
