Planet Diameters in Our Solar System (Based on NASA Data)
The planets in our solar system vary greatly in size, from the tiny Mercury to the massive Jupiter. Based on NASA's Planetary Fact Sheet, here are the average equatorial diameters of each planet:
Mercury: 4,879 km – The smallest planet, just slightly larger than Earth's Moon.
Venus: 12,104 km – Similar in size to Earth, but with a very different atmosphere.
Earth: 12,756 km – Our home, slightly larger than Venus.
Mars: 6,792 km – About half the size of Earth.
Jupiter: 142,984 km – The largest planet, more than 11 times Earth's diameter.
Saturn: 120,536 km – Slightly smaller than Jupiter, but still a gas giant with beautiful rings.
Uranus: 51,118 km – An ice giant with a tilted rotation.
Neptune: 49,528 km – Slightly smaller than Uranus but denser and windier.
