Money by definition must be fungible. Meaning all units are equal to all other units. Currently Bitcoin suffers from a fungibility issue. All tractions are posted on the public ledger. Enabling thug governments to track and tax all activities.
Bitcoin first appeared during a financial crisis on October 31, 2008, with the release of a whitepaper authored by the unknown Satoshi Nakamoto. Three years later, December 12, 2012, the Monero whitepaper authored by the unknown Nicolas van Saberhagen was posted.
Monero is thought to be created by the same unknown creator Satoshi Nakamoto. Many think Satoshi Nakamoto and Nicolas van Saberhagen may have been the same person or group. Solving the privacy/fungibility problem of bitcoin using tech referred to as a Ring Signatures.
