Weight loss tips that actually work | For the busy man and woman: • Weight loss tips that actually work | For ...
Staying fit while working from home can be a challenge, especially while working in front of a computer which doesn't seem like it would be all that physically demanding. However, recent studies show that sitting for long periods of time can have serious health consequences.
So, today we’re talking about how you can stay in shape and healthy while working from home!
Welcome to the official YouTube channel of OPTIFAST.
OPTIFAST is a scientifically designed low-calorie diet programme intended to help support weight loss. All our products are suitable as a replacement for individual meals.
1. Make a schedule and stick to it
When you work from home, it can be easy to let work consume your entire day. To avoid this, it’s essential to make a schedule and stick to it. Set specific times to do your work, but also block some time to exercise, which will help balance work and personal life. This will make you more productive, happier, and less stressed and help combat unwanted weight gain.
2. Begin each day with exercise
Before getting caught up in the day's tasks, try to get in a workout. Research shows that morning exercise can boost your energy levels and help improve your focus for the rest of the day. Try waking up fifteen minutes earlier than usual and get in some gentle stretching or a quick walk. Then, you can add in heavier cardio or strength-training exercises to keep on top of your health.
3. Take Micro-breaks
Working from home can make it challenging to stay focused, so try to take regular micro-breaks. Set a timer for 20 minutes, and when it goes off, get up and move around or do some simple exercises like neck rotations, and leg raises. Step outside for fresh air, or make yourself a cup of tea. These brief breaks can help to refresh your mind and body, and they may even increase your productivity in the long run.
4. Move around during calls
When you're on a call, use this time to get the blood flowing by walking around while working from home. Researchers from Stanford University found that walking can help boost creative thinking skills - so take a walk outside while you’re working and enjoy the perks of extra vitamin D.

5. Make healthy, well-calculated food choices
When working from home and only a few steps away from the kitchen, it can be hard to make healthy food choices. Optifast offers a range of products like soup, shakes, desserts, and meal bars that replace up to two meals daily and require no long preparation. Each product is available in a variety of flavors and contains all the essential vitamins and nutrients your body needs. We’ve also provided all the nutritional information to help make it easier for you to track calories.
6. Focus on your mental well-being
Your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
Take breaks to relieve any built-up stress. Do some physical activity, even if it's just a walk around the block. Set aside time to socialize, and lastly, don't be afraid to reach out for help if you're feeling overwhelmed – plenty of resources are available to support you through tough times.
