Frigate just made ALL smart sensors OBSOLETE
If you've ever wished your smart home could understand more than just motion, this new Frigate feature might be exactly what you've been waiting for.
In this video I take a look at Frigate's new State Models, which let you train your own AI model to recognise the state of almost anything visible on your cameras. Once trained, Frigate exposes those detections directly into Home Assistant, allowing you to create entirely new virtual sensors for your automations.
To put it to the test, I'm also reviewing the new Annke FCD800 180° panoramic PoE security camera. With its ultra wide field of view, it turned out to be the perfect camera for one of my favourite automations yet.
