Recommender Systems Workshop
This workshop goes over the theory and application of recommender systems. The workshop introduces the different types of data relationships used to create recommendations. We will also go over the types of data you will see in recommender system datasets. Two approaches to recommender systems will be discussed: content-based and collaborative filtering. We will discuss notation to express the datasets and the optimization algorithms used. Lastly, a notebook will go over a movie ratings dataset and show how to implement a content-based and a collaborative recommender system so that you can see how to apply the theory discussed on your own.
