A snippet from my video on five things I think Nintendo should have done differently. This one pertains to the Nintendo 64's cartridge format.
To be clear, Nintendo never had pockets deep enough to absorb losses like Sony does. Sony had a ton of money to spare. Sega, SNK, and the 3DO Company-- There's a reason they initially priced their CD-based consoles more than the PlayStation.
