Samples & Summer Storms
This piece came out of a dig through the dollar bin at one of my favorite local record stores. The record I sampled is from the 70’s and is a guided meditation for people quitting smoking. I’ve included a moment from the original sample at the beginning. I tracked everything to my zoom recorder and chopped up the samples in Ableton before loading it onto my Digitakt. Sequencing and arrangement were done in the Digitakt, with some additional effects from my Eurorack set up and the Marantz PMD222. The footage and field recordings were captured right outside my house during a recent summer storm. As always thanks for listening.
