CG-350 Tutorial 1: The Graphic Composer
The Datavideo CG-350 is an HD character generator software designed for live and post production. The CG-350 includes basic text functions, plus some extra useful features like banner crawls and Snyper (corner graphics, station IDs, "coming up next" animations, etc.) that can appear separately from the main CG actions. What this means is you can set continuously-looping banner crawls and/or corner graphics while you control the timing of the other CG elements independently.
The CG-300 includes the same basic text CG functions as the CG-350 but does NOT include the independent banner crawl and Snyper tools. It is only available for customers in the Americas.
The character generators are available primarily as a software+hardware combo that includes the CG-350/300 software and a Blackmagic Decklink HD Extreme 4K Card. The PCI Card is meant for installation into a Windows-based PC. However, one can also purchase the CG-300 or CG-350 software ONLY (without PCI Card hardware). If a complete already-assembled CG computer is needed, look no further than our PCR-350/300 Workstation or the 1RU Rack-Mountable PCRM-350.
