Now that pandemia is fully set in he’s back with his seventh instalment ‘I Think You Know’. Rather than predict or prescribe a way through this mess, Dekker trusts his audience to find their way.
About the song Dekker says “Ultimately, ‘I Think You Know’ is a love song. But somehow more and somehow less than that.” When Dekker was asked who the song was written for he only said “I Think Yo Know” with a sly grin.
His self-shot-and-directed music video seems to depict a complexity of myriad inner Dekkers. Perhaps a sightglass into his workflow? Perhaps a therapy session? Maybe he’s lost his mind? Whatever is going on here is witty, intimate and fun.
“I Think You Know” is Dekker’s penultimate song to be released as a single before his full length debut album Slow Reveal: Chapter One drops in October.
