Guide: Adding Pizzazz with Special Text Effects
1. Click on "Word"
Go to the document you intend to work on
2. Font
If you’d like to change a portion of the text to a different font, it will need to be selected or highlighted first. When the mouse pointer is moved over a text area, it will change from an arrow to a ‘text select’ or ‘I-beam’ icon
3. Select your text so that it’s highlighted
4. Go to "Font" section
5. Font Style
To change the font style, click the arrow next to the font style in the ribbon at the top of your document
6. Font Size
Click on the arrow to change the size of the font
7. Click this icon, to increase the size of text
8. Click here to shrink the size of text
9. Clear Formatting
You can easily clear all formatting (such as bold, underline, italics, color, superscript, subscript, and more) from your text and return your text to its default formatting styles
10. Strikethrough
Strikethrough is a font effect that causes text to appear as though it is crossed out
11. Subscript
A subscript is a character (number, letter or symbol respectively) i.e. set slightly below the normal line of type
12. Superscript
A superscript is a character (number, letter or symbol respectively) i.e. set slightly above the normal line
13. Select this option to change the font color
