Live Osprey Nest | RSPB Loch Garten
RSPB Loch Garten can be considered the home of osprey in the UK following their successful recolonisation close to this exact location in 1954. Ospreys were considered extinct as a breeding bird in the UK after being wiped out by persecution, but they are back and thriving once again!

7 April - 06:04 INTRUDER?? - Male Blue 047 (2021 Moray) landed on the nest and has stayed
(Blue 047 was around in 2024 on and off in April, June and July)
12 April - INTRUDER - 08:37-10:29 Unringed male around
13 April - INTRUDER - 08:51-09:08 Unringed male
13 April - INTRUDER - 12:49 An old face appears on the nest Male Blue AX6 (2016 Loch Affric) seen once last year but of course has history with the nest
13 April - INTRUDER - 21:04 Unringed male tries to land after sky dancing - 047 chases - maybe Brodie?
14 April - 07:23 Unringed male tries to land - it’s Brodie
14 April - 10:15 INTRUDER - Male AX6 visits the nest again
14 April - 13:04 Brodie with a fish

20 April - Asha left 05:41 - Blue KL5 chased off by Brodie at 08:49
21 April - Blue KL5 was seen fishing at Aviemore Ospreys at 04:30
21 April - 06:25 INTRUDER - Unringed male intruder
22 April - 10:33 INTRUDER - Unringed male intruder lands on nest briefly
25 April - 13:15-13:43 INTRUDER - BTO ringed male intruder lands briefly with half a fish - then perches on a tree
25 April - 14:35-14:45 Same unringed female as 14-17 April
25 April onwards - 19:34 Same unringed female arrived and appears to be staying
26 April - 04:48 Intruder sky dancing above but does not land
27 April - INTRUDER - 10:37/10:43 Unringed male
28 April - INTRUDER - 07:01 Unringed male
28 April - INTRUDER - 18:48 BTO ringed male
