To adjust the settings for the Pencil Tool in Adobe Illustrator, follow these steps:
Select the Pencil Tool from the Tools Panel or press the N key.
Double-click on the Pencil Tool icon in the Tools Panel to open the Pencil Tool Options dialog box.
Adjust the following settings:
Fidelity: Determines how closely the pencil path follows your mouse or stylus movement. A higher value creates smoother lines while a lower value creates more jagged lines.
Smoothness: Determines the level of smoothing applied to the pencil stroke. A higher value results in smoother curves and less detail while a lower value produces rougher lines with more detail.
Fill New Pencil Strokes: Determines whether the pencil stroke is filled with color or left as a stroke.
Edit Selected Paths: Determines whether the pencil tool edits existing paths or creates new ones.
Click OK to save your settings and start using the Pencil Tool.
