Apache Superset on CentOS 9
You will learn how to:
1. Update System & Install Dependencies
Install required build tools and Python libraries using `dnf`.
2. Create Project Directory
Set up a dedicated folder: `~/application/superset`.
3. Set Up Python Virtual Environment
Create and activate a virtual environment.
Upgrade `pip`, `setuptools`, and `wheel`.
4. Install Superset & Gunicorn
Install `apache_superset`, `gunicorn`, and `gevent`.
5. Install Database & Export Dependencies
For PostgreSQL: `psycopg2-binary`
For exporting: `pillow`
6. Configure PostgreSQL
Create a `superset` database and user.
Add a `superset_config.py` file with connection settings and a secret key.
7. Initialize Superset
Run `db upgrade`, create an admin user, and run `superset init`.
8. (Optional) Open Firewall Port
Allow traffic on port `8088`.
9. Start Superset
Launch the app using `superset run`.
Access your dashboard 📊 at: `http://your-server-ip:8088`
