Belated Bday Brunch & Basilica Light Show | Vlogmas Day 22
Belated birthday celebration + holiday vibes = peak Vlogmas energy. 🎄
In today’s vlog, we have a slow winter morning and then head out to Lake Excelsior for a belated birthday brunch for Brett with his parents, brother, and sister-in-law. We try a new spot (Coalition) — fluffy pancakes, classic eggs benedict, and good family catch-up time all around.
After brunch, it’s off to the mall for last-minute Christmas gifts, plus debating what (if anything 😅) to get for Scrap. We head home, crash on the couch for a bit, wrap a few presents, and hop on a family Zoom with my mom’s side to say hi before the holidays.
Then we rally for a very late outing for these two grandpas: Luminiscence at the basilica/cathedral near us. It’s a light projection + choir experience mapped perfectly to the architecture of the church, mixed with a narrated history of how the basilica was built. We’re both fighting sleep in the pews, but it’s beautiful, immersive, and absolutely worth the late bedtime.
