What is HDCP?
Stands for “High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection” and is one of the standards for copyright-protection and is more closely lined with the actual hardware in the computer than it is a background service or function. Most modern streaming services and/or hardware all require HDCP compliance otherwise the content would not play on the device (irrespective of whether a TechSmith application was installed). Some of the streaming services that have been mentioned by users in the past are (but not limited to):
